Rebekah Vardy opens up about abusive past on ITV's Loose Women
Rebekah Vardy joined the Loose Women panel today (Tuesday 24th October) to discuss her own abuse experience and encourage any survivors of sexual harassment, abuse and violence to speak out.
'In my early teens, I experienced numerous unpleasant incidents. It was someone pretty close to my family, I had conversations with numerous members of my family about it,' Rebekah said. 'I got persuaded not to take it any further. I made quite a few bad mistakes when I was growing up, which I now link back to that.
'I was troubled child, I didn't know what direction to take... but it's really important that I came through it,' Rebekah added. She also made it clear the abuser was not a member of her family.
And she revealed only talking about her experience of abuse after having therapy for her post-natal depression.
Rebekah wanted to encourage any survivours of sexual harassment, abuse and voilence to speak out and to let them know that it is #NeverTooLateToTell
