Susannah Townsend MBE secures bronze medal at the EuroHockey Championships
Susannah Townsend joined the women's England hockey squad in Amsterdam for the EuroHockey Championships.
England secured the bronze medal with a 2-0 victory over Germany. The medal means that combined Great Britian or England have now won at least one major medal in every year since 2009.
Susannah is now recovering from a small ankle injury but is starting to prepare for the World League finals in a few weeks time.
Susannah said "Proud of what we (England hockey) have achieved with securing a bronze medal. We came here to win the gold but after losing the semi final we were never going to leave here without a medal. Such an exciting future ahead for this young squad where we can achieve anything. Thank you Holland for putting on a fantastic tournament"
